The Wall Street Journal and Millennials Love Free TV: The Discovery of the TV Antenna

For years we have heard, “is this legal, what you’re doing? Can we really get TV for free? We don’t have to pay for broadcast TV? WHY?!” Well TV antennas are finally getting the recognition they deserve! The technology may be considered retro, but the results are oh so brilliant.

HDTV antennas are making a huge comeback, thanks in part to smart Millennials who refuse to pay for television. Why should we throw away our hard-earned money? In fact, TV antenna sales are expected to grow 7% in 2017 to nearly 8 million units, according to the Consumer Technology Association. As an antenna manufacturer, this is music to our ears.

Now to the extremely exciting news… Antennas Direct and TV antennas made the front page of the Wall Street Journal! Ryan Knutson, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal, was surprised to hear how many folks, specifically Millennials, didn’t know what a TV antenna WAS, how it worked, or that they even existed! With the continual shift towards streaming, Millennials are looking for ways to catch their local news and broadcast networks, and lucky for them, all they need is a TV antenna. And no, they’re not your grandparent’s rabbit ears, these TV antennas are powerful, smaller and downright sexy.
