The ClearStream™ 4 Ultra Long Range TV Antenna offers the power and efficiency normally found in antennas up to 10 times its size.  It utilizes the patented ClearStream Tapered Loop Technology, which delivers twice the power. This advanced technology allows the ClearStream line of antennas to be smaller and more powerful across today's DTV spectrum. In a compact 20" x 28" form, the ClearStream™ 4 is the first broad spectrum antenna without the performance compromises typically seen in outdated legacy antenna designs and delivers an impressive 98% of signal reception, rather than being lost through impedance mismatches and phase cancellation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Pretty Darn Good ! after the last rise in cable prices and no rise in service or quality, we made the switch to ClearStream 4. What a difference!. whatever the initial cost to do this was, it will be depreciated out by the second week of November , against the cost of the monthly cable bill and our tv viewing will be totally free. I told my wife, Look at the colors and the clarity, we never had that on cable. where we are located and beaming thru a large oak tree, we are getting about 65 total channels, with about 40-45 that we can understand after blocking out the foreign language channels. we are very happy we made the switch and have recommended this to several others..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised First off I was a little taken back by how small this unit is. At 12" x 24" it is a fraction of the size of some of the legacy antennas and I was a little wary of how it would perform. I initially installed it outside off my deck and then and then moved it to the attic . In both locations it performs flawlessly, and I am able to peg the signal strength meter without the use of an amplifier. Not ready to totally cut the cord yet, but I returned 2 STB's saving me $24.00 a month on TVs I use less frequently. Picture is beautiful and I receive a total of 39 channels.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Installed it myself & it WORKS! I mounted this thing myself even though I'm 67 yrs old and basically scared of heights. I mounted it to the side of the house because I didn't want to get up on the roof. Used the 40" pole mount to insure it would reach over the top of the roof. I had pre-assembled just about everything and had my wife hand it to me while I was on the ladder. It was kind of heavy but since I had the base plate already mounted on the house I just had to slip a couple of bolts in the pole to secure it and then tighten everything up. We get 41 channels, 2 of them don't come in very well. I think that's pretty good considering we really only watch 6 of them regularly. Most of the channels are about 16 miles away (according to antennaweb.org). We've had it up for about 3 weeks now and have had no reception problems. We're saving over $50 per month over cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On the frindge I have had my antenna installed in its final spot for almost 1 year. I am in southern NH and directed the antenna towards the towers in Hartford, CT 60+ miles away as this was the clearest path to a tower. During the summer months I can receive upwards of 15 channels, pulling in all of the main broadcast channels as long as the atmospheric conditions are cooperating. During the winter months I can receive upwards of 40 channels with no issues, pulling in all of the main broadcast channels. The picture quality and sound quality is better then the DirecTV signal that the antenna replaced.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Probably great for short distance reception. Antenna arrived in good condition and on time. It is easy to assemble. I live approximately 36 miles from the primary antenna farm in the Dallas Fort Worth area. When the signal comes in it is clear. However, it often breaks up for a moment or two, sometimes losing the signal. Occasionally I need to point the antenna a couple of degrees one way or another to retrieve a good signal. As I bought it specifically for the 70+ miles range and as it is "multi-directional" overall I am disappointed in its performance. It probably would be an excellent antenna for less than 25 mile reception. Please note this antenna does not come with a stand or cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Awesome Just installed the Clearstream 4 Ultra with the VHF Retrofit Kit, and the PA18 Preamp, on a 16ft Mast. Prior to this had a Terk Omni Tablertop. I was primarily trying to pick up one major network, that the Terk couldn't pull in. After install, I was hoping to go from 27 to maybe 31 channels. Actually ended up with 49, and this is running 3 tv's with over a 70ft run of RG6Q before the preamp, and another 50ft, in two directions(100ft total) after the preamp. TVFOOL.COM mapping says I should only be pulling 30 Channels. I live in Florida so terrain is not an issue and I'm well out of town, but I'm pulling channels from almost 70 miles. Next on the agenda is a rotation motor which will probably pick up another 10 or 12 channels. Assembly was very straight forward, shipping was quicker than I thought, and unit was very well engineered. Purchased during the Black Friday sale and got a good discount as well. Far exceeded my expectations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Darn Good We live in a rural small city in the Rockies. My wife watches local stations that the cable company in their wisdom decided not to carry. We had a 1080 attic antenna and it always flashed the images and the Super Bowl was a very weak signal at best (crappie reception). The new Clear Stream 4 cleared up the image flashing and according to the wife, local station pick up has improved 100%. For those with attic antennas that just don't cut it, recommend the long range Clear Stream 4. Don't be spooked putting it together as it's fairly easy once you start and follow through one step at a time. You do need a separate J pole or bracket to hang it on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! WAY better than anything we tried out from Best Buy!! We are receiving signals from over 50 miles away. Easy assembly and relatively easy installation onto a tall pole, thanks to a friend who is able to climb up onto the roof, affix it to the pole and ground it. The signal fades in and out sometimes--probably not the fault of the antenna. It's in a fixed position now and we're wondering about getting some kind of motor to turn it slightly. Frankly we'd hoped this antenna would enable us to cut the cable but we find we still need Comcast for Internet as we have only mobile phones. Maybe some day Comcast will have some competition for Internet.
