In Fresno MeTV will be broadcast on KGMC-DT Channel 43.6 and in Gainesville channel GTN – 9.2.

“We’ve seen a dramatic increase in TV viewership via antenna in the past 24 months as result of the economic recession in the Valley,” said Gary M. Cocola, chairman and CEO of Cocola Broadcasting, in a statement. “Many people simply can no longer afford monthly cable or satellite services. Me-TV Fresno will offer viewers a free and viable alternative to paid programming.”

MeTV, which stands for Memorable Entertainment Television, started in Chicago in 2005 and launched nationally in December 2010.
