The heat didn’t keep people away. More than 5,000 people attended a Job Fair Monday in St. Louis, which attracted 106 employers from around the area.
U.S. Rep. Lacy Clay organized the event, which was held at Harris-Stowe State University.
Over the years, hundreds of people have landed jobs by attending the fair, said Steven Engelhardt, a spokesman for Clay.
Participating employers included Boeing, Macy’s, BJC HealthCare, Centene Corp., GKN Aerospace, Wells Fargo Advisors, Express Scripts, World Wide Technology, the State of Missouri, McDonald’s, Emmis Communications, Enterprise Holdings, Saint Louis Zoo, Schnucks, Best Buy, Lodging Hospitality Management, Saint Louis University, the Transportation Security Administration, the Internal Revenue Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Clear Channel Radio, Radio One, Antennas Direct and UPS.
