#ADBusTour Giveaway #5: Baltimore, MD

We ended this awesome leg of the #ADBusTour in Baltimore, MD on Monday! It was a bittersweet morning, sad to see the tour come to an end, but excited to hand out hundreds of antennas and get back home to plan our next tour!

We had a crowd of people join us at Grace Bible Baptist church, we weren’t able to fit everyone in the parking lot! We started a drive through giveaway, handing people their ClearStream 2V antenna through their car window, and we were met with hundreds of thank you’s and stories of appreciation for giving them access to their local television.

We gave away 400 C2V’s in an hour! Thank you to WBFF’s Amber Miller who was on hand broadcasting live, it was wonderful to meet her and the WBFF team who helped to hand out antennas and talk to the crowd.

We also had Mark Aitken, the Vice President of Advanced Technology for Sinclair Broadcasting Group, Inc. at the Baltimore giveaway, and it was great to hear from him the importance of over the air television. Thanks for hanging out with us and talking to the lines of people!

If you weren’t able to make it out to any of our #ADBusTour stops this year, never fear, you can use the coupon code ADBUSTOUR35 for 35% off your purchase on our website. Feel free to give our friendly customer service folks a call and they can help you determine what antenna would work best for your location!

What’s next? We’ll take a few days to recuperate, then we will begin planning our next big adventure! You know us, we’re never satisfied sitting still.

#ADBusTour Giveaway #4: Asheville, NC

We might have jumped the gun by saying the Charleston crowd was the friendliest group we’ve ever met on an #ADBusTour giveaway because the Asheville line was some tight competition! The line started at 3AM at the Bryan Easler Toyota in Hendersonville and at 6am the line had grown to over 800 people.

WLOS’ Lauren Brigman was broadcasting live from the giveaway and was the sweetest lady to meet and spend some time with. She was shocked to see the line and walked around speaking to people who had been waiting hours for their antennas.

Once the giveaway started at 6AM we FLEW through antennas, giving out 350 antennas in less than 30 minutes! Everyone in line who was not able to walk away with an antenna received a coupon for 35% off the purchase of an antenna. It was the most grateful and courteous crowd, every single person came up us and said thank you and how much it meant to them to have access to a TV antenna. It’s moments like that when we realize how lucky we are to be able to provide that for people.

The #ADBusTour is nearing the end. Our final giveaway is Monday at Grace Bible Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD. Mark your calendars, set your alarms, do whatever it takes to make it out for the final stop!

#ADBusTour Giveaway #3: Charleston, SC

They say that Charleston, SC is the friendliest city in the United States, and after today we can confirm that this is most certainly true. The crowd was the nicest group we’ve seen in the longest time. If you haven’t visited Charleston, you need to make it a spot on your bucket list.

People started lining up before 3AM at WCIV for their free TV antenna. Now, a lot of times at giveaways, people silently sit in line and wait for it to start. That was not the case with this group. The people standing next to them in line became instant friends and we saw people chatting and laughing for hours. It was amazing to see, especially so early in the morning (and trust us, we are not necessarily morning people, so this was a delight.)

WCIV went out of their way to make us feel at home and we are extremely grateful that they let use their parking lot for our giveaway.

We are back on the road and on our way to Asheville, NC. We will see you 6AM Friday at Grace Bible Baptist, 1518 N. Rolling Road, Baltimore, MD 21228. We want to see you there, come out and join us.

#ADBusTour Giveaway #2: Macon, Georgia

For our second stop of the TV Liberation Bus Tour, we stopped in Macon, the Heart of Georgia. We spent the morning at WGXA Fox 16 and ABC 24 promoting the giveaway and met some truly lovely people who were thrilled to spread awareness of over-the-air television and receiving broadcast TV for FREE with a TV antenna.

This giveaway was a little different than our others. We had the support of a local Papa John’s that decided to give out free pizza to everyone waiting in line, so we had the giveaway at 6PM. We had people lining up in the heat of the day, starting at 9AM to receive their antenna! Those are some dedicated folks who are looking to cut costs and access free TV.

WGXA had their entire staff out to help hand out water, tshirts and flyers to the crowd and it was great to have their support. To see their full coverage from the event, you can catch the segments HERE.

We ended up giving away 400 antennas in Macon and had around 1000 people show up for their chance to take one home. It’s amazing to hear their stories and learn why they came out to join us at the #ADBusTour.

We are now back on the bus and making our way to Charleston, SC, where we will be giving away 300 antenna Wednesday at 6AM at WCIV: ABC News 4. If you want to be guaranteed an antenna, be sure to get in line early!

Kicking off the 2016 #ADBusTour in Little Rock, AR

Wow, what a great way to kick off the first stop of the #ADBusTour with a huge giveaway in Little Rock, AR! And not only was it the first stop of the tour, but it was also Antennas Direct President, Richard Schneider’s birthday! We decided to celebrate this great man getting another year older by giving away antennas to the great residents of Little Rock.

People began lining up for the giveaway a 12:00AM and the line went down the street, over 500 people showed up for a chance to take home a ClearStream Eclipse antenna. We ended up giving away nearly 400 antennas in less than 40 minutes! We met some wonderful people who told us their reasons for waiting in line all night and they ranged from looking to save money, have better picture quality and have access to local, broadcast TV in case of emergencies or bad weather. The thing they all had in common was the desire for quality broadcast television, for free.

Next stop: Macon, Georgia. We will be in town with WGXA to giveaway 300 ClearStream 2V antennas on Monday, August 22nd at 6PM. Meet us in the parking lot behind the Papa John’s at 265 Tom Hill Sr Blvd, Macon, GA 31210. Papa John’s will be giving away slices of pizza, we will have tshirts, antennas and enter for your chance to win a 50″ LED Roku TV. You won’t want to miss out on the fun.

Thank you to, the NAB and Sinclair for supporting the TV Liberation Bus Tour and helping us to get thousands of antennas into the hands of Americans.

Final Stop: Moline, Illinois. Stay tuned!

The Great Race 2016 Recap, Part 3

Noel and Richard

After several long days of driving along the Lincoln Highway, Richard and Noel made it to their destinations and were able to enjoy some food, drinks and rest. But not before testing out the ClearStream Eclipse in each location!

In these two videos, they test out the reception in Elko, NV and Cheyenne, WY. Both locations aren’t exactly right on top of the towers, just more proof that you CAN cut the cord all across the United States. You can even watch TV by slapping the Eclipse to a cowboy boot in Cheyenne, WY! (We can’t make this stuff up, Richard ACTUALLY tested it out, as seen in the second video.)

Antennas Direct Takes on The Great Race 2016, Part 1

Richard and NOel

This past weekend, Richard Schneider began his journey down the Lincoln Highway in his 1969 Mercedes 280SL as a part of the Great Race. Now you might be thinking to yourself, why is this man driving across the United States? The answer is simple. Because he wants to. And, this is a great opportunity to showcase the strengths of our antennas in different markets across the United States.

In this first recap of the Great Race, Richard gives you some background on the history of the race and his plans for testing our antennas along the way. Then see how the ClearStream Eclipse does 25 miles outside of San Francisco. (SPOILER ALERT: It does amazing, of course.)

The Great Race started on Saturday, June 18th in California and Richard will arrive in Moline, Illinois on Sunday, June 26th. Follow the Great Race and Richard’s crazy antics at,  InstagramTwitter and Facebook and live streaming on UStream. Will the Schneider’s be traveling through your neck of the woods? Let us know!
