Antennas Direct Moves into the WiFi & Cellular Space – STL Post Dispatch Feature

If you have followed Antennas Direct at all in the last 7 years since introducing the Antennas Direct line of antennas to the public, its probably no surprise that Antennas Direct is expanding their product line to the WiFi and Cellular space. The St. Louis Post Dispatch interviewed Richard about the new Wi-Fi kits and new products in the making including a new cell phone repeater and the DB4 Bowtie Antenna.

From the Post:

“Most homes and businesses built in the last 10 to 15 years are pre-wired,” he said. “This device allows you to carry the Wi-Fi signal over existing wiring.” The Wi-Fi distribution kits are sold through electronics distributors and installers.

Rich Green, technology council chair of the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association, an Indianapolis-based industry organization, said the simplicity of Antennas Direct’s Wi-Fi product is what makes it appealing. Antennas Direct’s Wi-Fi kit was introduced at CEDIA’s annual trade show in Atlanta last month. Green also owns an electronics systems contracting business, Rick Green Ink., based in Palo Alto, Calif., and he installed an Antennas Direct Wi-Fi kit on a home there this week.

“It’s a very simple concept that might solve a lot of problems, especially as iPads become increasingly popular and are moved throughout the home, and there’s a need for Wi-Fi to work seamlessly throughout the home,” Green said. “It’s the first product of its type; it’s a new category.”
