The 91XG Directional antenna receives broadcast signals from 70+ miles away and has a higher gain with a smaller beam angle, compared to conventional Yagi antennas. The reflector grids create an improved front-to-back ratio with a shorter construction, while the 91 elements truly make it one of the highest-gain directional UHF antennas available. Includes mounting hardware and assembly and installation instructions.

Whole-Home Ready

There are many advantages to choosing an HDTV outdoor antenna over an indoor antenna. An outdoor antenna will have fewer obstructions and less interference (noise) from other electronic devices in your home. A single outdoor antenna can service more than one television at a time. If your home had satellite or cable service, the coaxial cable needed to send the antenna's signal to all your TVs is already installed.

Set Up is Easy

Locate the broadcast towers serving your area at or download the free Antenna Point app to your Android and iOS smartphone or tablet. Place outdoors with the best possible line of sight to the broadcast towers for the best results. Connect one end of a coaxial cable to the antenna and the other end to your TV. Scan for the available channels using your TV's remote control. Try several locations to find the best reception before permanently installing the antenna on a mast, and remember to scan for channels in each location. Enjoy all your favorite local and network shows in Full HD 1080 where available.

91XG Uni-Directional Ultra Long Range DTV Antenna is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Improved Reception at 90 miles out I'm over 90 miles from the transmitter and can receive all the broadcast channels in my area. My Antenna is 40 feet up and I use a Channel Master 7777 booster, but the reception is close to perfect. My only concern is how well this antenna will hold up to wind and ice. The design of this antenna is pretty strong, but it is a very large antenna. If it doesn't negatively affect signal, it would have been nice to have a secondary mast clamp to attach to the main antenna beam for extra security in extreme weather. After this antenna has been through a winter storm with half an inch of ice and 40 mph winds, I'll update my review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really did the job! I purchased the 91xg for my cottage along with a signal booster. According to the FCC site only one channel can be brought in since we are at the foot of Mt Morris. I wasn't able to get that one channel in either until I bought the 91xg. I was so happy once I hooked it up and ran a scan. I'm able to bring in 18 channels! All are clear, just amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent antenna! I bought this antenna about 1 year ago. I've had no problems with it since. Light weight and still sturdy. I pick up stations from about 60 miles away but I do live in a mountainous area, so if you have no mountains I'm sure it will pick up stations from much farther. The reception only really suffers during windy conditions from the antenna swaying around. Rain and snow have no effect on it. Also Antennas Direct customer service was excellent in helping decide what antenna I would need for my area, and any troubleshooting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not "The Best Antenna Ever" I researched UHF band antennas and ultimately picked this one. We live in a fringe area and I wanted to have an antenna capable of receiving the bulk of the over the air stations. I stacked this antenna underneath a "Deepest Fringe" Channel Master that had been up for over 35 years. When I first got the UE-MX91 I was disappointed in the small size of the box, I now was curious what was inside. It comes in many pieces and my first thought was that it was pretty flimsy. I went ahead and assembled the antenna according to the instructions, brought down my tower and installed the antenna below the big Channel Master. I also replaced all wiring with new coax and connectors. After completing the installation and putting the 30 foot tower back in place I eagerly went inside to check the performance. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the reception was across the band. The combination of the 2 antennas really did a good job of bringing in the stations. Almost all of the signals were in the 75 to 88 percent region and one even maxed out the signal strength meter in the setup menu of the television. Almost 3 weeks later we experienced some sleet and windy conditions with gusts around 25 mph. Not too bad but it blows the limbs around quite a bit. The next day I went out to check the antennas. What I found was the Channel Master survived much like it has over the last 35+ years. The UE-MX91 had the front section missing and looked like it had turned on the mast about 15 degrees. I had even added an extra clamp to the new antenna because I wasn't confident in the single clamp provided to hold it in place. My initial instincts were correct, this is a flimsy antenna and will not stand up well to the elements. If you plan on installing it in your attic it will probably work fine. Installing it outside and high is just asking for trouble. I tried calling their support group and got tired of listening to background music. Overall, I'm very disappointed. It's a pain bringing down a 30 foot tower and I was hoping I wouldn't have to do it again so soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed Beyond Belief I'm not a handy person, but it was easy to assemble. I have to admit I had someone install both of my 91XG antennas. I'm in between two Indiana television markets and I get on average 30 channels and during different times of the year I have picked stations from not only from Indiana, but Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin. Like I said the farther stations are on rare occasions, but if it can pick up that far away tells me I made the best choice in antennas.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Get Local Channels I bought this product in the Spring of 2015. Cable is just getting outrageous! I have Netflix and wanted to view the local news so I purchased a large antenna to fit atop the house. Yes, it works. I can get 11, 5, and 13 for the local channels. I get 3 other Spanish channels which are of no use to me. I had really hoped for more but hey, I got the news as long as it don't storm! I lose channels during a storm........Not impressed with purchase but I do get the news! Thx

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great antenna I use this antenna in an attic about 60 mi from New York City and 50 mi from Philly. I get most of the strong and medium UHF stations. I don't get any VHF, but this was not advertised as a VHF antenna. I do have a channel master 16db pre-amp and I have a rotor. This antenna works great 90% of the time. It is fine all winter, but some summer days the reception is a bit off. I am in a beach community and the problem is only during peak season. It is possible that the TV signal which passes through some electric lines (the kind that feed a small sub-station) is interfered with when electric usage peaks. Another theory is there is an intermittent radio station that broadcast during the summer, but only some days/nights. I have not noticed any reduction in reception due to bad weather. I've tried two other antennas, there was a small (but noticeable) improvement over a Winegard HD7694P and a huge improvement over a channel master 4228HD. I think the 4228HD would be good if I mounted it outside or if I was a little closer to the broadcast antenna and I wanted reception from two locations without using a rotor. Bottomline, buy this antenna if you are far from TV stations, it has great gain even through a roof that is 50+ miles from the broadcast tower, but it needs to be pointed directly at the tower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best UHF I have ever owned This is the best antenna I have owned for UHF. I had been buying the $30-40 amplified cheapies, and they done okay for about a year, after 3 of these, I decided to try something different. If this one lasts, it was so worth it. I live on a mountain and lots of things in "line of site". This picks up more than the cheapies did. I also tried it with the "Juice". The first one worked great for about a week, but after 3 tries, I just requested a refund on it. The folks are awesome at Antenna Direct, and was there every time, spoke "Real American English", upbeat and friendly and not afraid to take the time to work with your individual needs. Thanks to all that assisted me. I do hope to buy a second antenna for a different direction.
