Antennas Direct Offers 3 Antennas Designed for post 2009 TV
July 28, 2008: ST. LOUIS, Mo. - St. Louis-based antennas maker Antennas Direct announced three new models of the ClearStream digital antenna series -- which are compact, highly efficient antennas optimized specifically for the post 2009 digital frequencies (high VHF and core UHF).
Using the latest simulation software and test equipment, the ClearStream antennas were tested using more than 3,000 simulations to maximize their efficiency for the core DTV spectrum (470 MHz to 700 MHz). The ClearStreams' high gain (8 dBi to 12 dBi) and extremely low impedance mismatch (typical 2:1 VSWR) provide dramatic improvements in performance and gain over commonly available compact antennas. The ClearStream antennas also have a wide beam width, which allows them to capture signal from multiple towers.
The size of the ClearStream antennas was reduced as much as possible in order to achieve a small, sleek look that would appeal to more consumers. The ClearStream1 has a single-loop design, which measures 10"X10," and is the smallest of the ClearStream antenna models. ClearStream2 features a 10"X20" dual-loop design, and the ClearStream4 model has a quadruple-loop design that measures 20"X28".
